What is a cremation?
Cremation is the process of reducing human or pet remains to small particles, through intense heat. The entire process takes approximately three hours. First, the remains are exposed to flame and temperatures of up to 2000 degrees Fahrenheit for approximately two-and-a-half hours. During the process almost all of the organic material is consumed by heat or evaporation. After cremation the remains are mechanically or chemically processed into a coarse, sand-like powder.
Do I need to purchase a casket for cremation?
No. However, for health and safety reasons, crematoriums require a secure, leak-proof, enclosed combustible container. It can be simple, made of cardboard, wood, or corrugated paper. A casket is sometimes used temporarily to hold a viewing of the body before cremation. Some funeral homes have caskets available for rent for formal memorial services.

What size urn should I buy?
Urns are sold by size, measured by the amount of ashes that each urn holds in cubic inches. One pound of human or pet weight equals one cubic inch of remains.Therefore, if your loved one weighed 150 pounds you will need an urn that will hold at least 150 cubic inches. Standard individual cremation urns are designed to hold 200 cubic inches of remains. The size of each urn in cubic inches is listed with the item’s description. Use the filters on the left of our collections page to refine your results based on weight.
Can I get my urn engraved?
Yes! Engraving makes the urn or keepsake even more personal. Most urns can be engraved with name, date, and an epitaph. Each product description will indicate whether the urn can be engraved. Each product would also indicate the number of characters allowed for engraving. Engraving styles and capabilities may vary over time. Please contact us with any questions.

This memorial is beautiful. It's a good size and weight. Easy to open, close, and fill. Not flimsy and bigger than expected. The engraving is clean. The color is deep crimson and depending on the light reflects more red color. The shipping was faster than expected too. My pet was my heart and this memorial literally represents that.

I had an excellent experience with One World Memorial.
I was a looking for a specific, small Dog Urn to hold my little dog when she passed. She was only 7lbs and all other urns were far too large. I found the urn size I was looking for on the One World memorial website and requested personalized engraving.
The Urn arrived within 4-days and it was exactly what I wanted. My little girl now sits on my nightstand with me every night.
One World Memorial gave me some degree of peace, and my precious little girl is now at rest.
Love the urn. I had a issue with the engraving that was resolved. I would strongly recommend asking for a proof before your item is engraved. That way you will be sure to get exactly what you want. There isn’t any place that I saw when ordering to let the engraver know the size of font you would like. There is a box to add any additional info to your order on the shipping/payment page. That is where you can request the size and a proof I would assume. Very happy with the end results and would order another hopefully not soon.
The engraving was done beautifully. I had to make a couple corrections after I placed the order but it was caught in time and the engraving was perfect.
